Embracing the Season of Waiting: Finding Peace in God's Timing and Purpose

Good morning everyone,

I cant believe two good weeks have gone by and no blog post! It's been a very overwhelming two weeks for me. I don't even know where to start to be honest with you. It's interesting that the theme of this month is centered around finding the ability to thrive in various seasons of life. I may have needed this more than anyone and I'm okay with that. In a short period of time, I've had to build a deeper level of inner strength that I didn't even know I had in order to navigate life's ups and downs.

The other day I was driving and I just started saying, "God I need you. I trust you. Help me. Hold me by the hand. Guide me. I only want to be led by you. I can do nothing without you. Hold me." I just kept on repeating this as I was driving home - nothing more, nothing less. As a matter of fact, I was so focused on the words coming out of my mind that I didn't even realize when tears started to roll down my face. I wasn't sobbing but tears had definitely formed and in that moment I knew I needed to find peace. Even reflecting on the moment is making me emotional because life at times can be so unclear and honestly just straight difficult. You get to a point where you feel helpless, hopeless, and a hot mess (needed another h word lol).

I know I'm in a season of waiting and it's challenging but what I'm relearning in this season is that trusting in God's timing and purpose means surrendering my desires and plans to Him, knowing that He has my best interests at heart. While waiting can be uncomfortable and uncertain, it is an opportunity to deepen my faith and trust in God's faithfulness. By leaning on Him for strength and guidance, I'm able to navigate seasons of waiting with patience and hope, knowing that God is working all things together for my good.

This is a season that I will experience the greatest growth and transformation, and that my KepTalk family is what has given me peace.

Let's go deeper...

In life, we often find ourselves in seasons of waiting—periods of uncertainty where we long for clarity, direction, and resolution. Whether it's waiting for a job opportunity, healing from an illness, or seeking answers to life's big questions, waiting can be challenging and uncomfortable. However, amidst the uncertainty, there is an opportunity for growth, faith, and trust in God's timing and purpose.

One of the greatest challenges of waiting is the temptation to rush ahead of God's timing. We live in a world that values instant gratification and quick results, but God operates on a different timeline—one that is perfect and purposeful. Trusting in God's timing requires patience, surrender, and a deep faith that He knows what is best for us. As the psalmist writes, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" (Psalm 27:14).

Ultimately, our seasons of waiting are an opportunity to deepen our relationship with God and align our hearts with His will. When we surrender our desires and plans to Him, we open ourselves up to His perfect timing and purpose for our lives. Even in the midst of uncertainty, we can find peace knowing that God is in control and that He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). As we trust in Him and lean on His promises, we can navigate our seasons of waiting with faith, hope, and confidence.

Seasons of waiting are an inevitable part of life, but they are also a fertile ground for spiritual, emotional and mental growth and transformation. By trusting in God's timing and purpose, we can find peace amidst uncertainty and hope in the midst of waiting. As we wait patiently for the Lord, let us take courage knowing that He is faithful and that His plans for us are good. So, let us embrace the seasons of waiting with faith, knowing that God is at work in us and through us, even in the waiting.

Say this throughout the day/week/month and so on: I find comfort in His promises and strength in His presence.

I encourage you today to wait peacefully because God is writing your story and He's the ultimate author of every chapter, weaving together each moment with purpose, love, and grace. Trust in His plan, for He knows the beginning and the end, and in His perfect timing, your story will unfold beautifully.

I feel so bad for not posting a blog in two weeks so I'm leaving you all with a video that drops on Instagram later today. You get to see it first! Hope that makes up for my absence. I'll try not to do that again!
